Divine
That's what my feet should look like. Divine!
According to my hubbie, one's feet can tell a lot about how a woman cares for herself. It's like shoes. What one wears tell a lot about one's personality.
This is why he's been comparing my feet lately to women we come across whenever we're at the mall--or wherever we are and women are there with their feet exposed! It's not that he doesn't appreciate my feet. It's just his way of telling me to have some time to beautify my feet.
Oh well, I couldn't blame him. I myself don't like my feet very much.
Besides beeing flat-footed, my toes are stubby and my nails are small and pointed. It's part of my inheritance for being partly an Agdeppa, which came along my big thighs, nose, forehead, hips, and butt! =) Hehe!
Not that I'm not thankful for what I have--which is actually very abundant--it just adds up to making my feet difficult to maintain and, well, look divine!
If you think about it, women who have beautiful feet are those who really give time to pamper themselves. They are the ones well groomed and have lavish hairstyles, fashionable clothes, and flawless skin! They have money enough to splurge on themselves anytime they want.
I'm not any of those. Time is very scarce for me. Money has more important use for me.
But I'm not saying my hubbie is wrong. He is, in fact, correct. Perfectly correct!
These lack of resources and different priorities should not be my excuse for not taking care of myself. I must achieve balance!
What's the use of all the hard work I put in my work if I myself don't use it for my benefit? Right? Right! (Thanks, John, for teaching me this!)
As Mr. Colayco of the Colayco Foundation says with regards to entrepreneurs, you are your greatest asset and, thus, must be rewarded accordingly.
In this life, I have only one asset, and that's myself. If I can not take care of myself, who else will? Achieving care for oneself is, indeed, divine! =)
Kudos, John!
